Heavenly Project 2023
Welcome to Heavenly Project 2023, our annual fundraising opportunity that happens every Spring. Inspired by 2020's fundraising drive to keep Heavenly Hills open during the COVID pandemic, the Heavenly Project is a community effort to build up the camp's facilities via big-scale work projects.
The Heavenly Project has three phases:
Before we officially unveil our project for this year but we wanted to give you a little teaser to see if you can guess... |
|
Well, did you guess it?! Last Friday we shared a little teaser on what our Heavenly Project 2023 would be fundraising for and now for the official grand announcement! This year we will be fundraising for (insert drum roll here) AN ALL-NEW CABIN 106!
Now, at this point, you may be asking yourself, “Didn’t we fundraise for Cabin 106 last year?” and you would be right…and also wrong. Last year our Heavenly Project consisted of four projects: the Field, the Staff Trailer, The Shalom House Bathrooms, and Cabin 106. As a community we managed to raise enough funds to restore the Field, Staff Trailer, and the bathrooms however we did not raise enough for Cabin 106 leaving it the odd project out. We also ran into a number of road-blocks with obtaining a building permit that kept us from actually building in the first place.
But it’s a new year and we are focusing exclusively on rebuilding Cabin 106 for our camp needs as well as partnering with a new contractor to help us through the County building processes. We’re hopeful we can complete this project by Summer’s end and would appreciate your willingness to give your money, your prayers, and your time to this fundraiser.
Tune in next Friday where we’ll announce how much we’ll be fundraising for and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to give us a holler.
